Cat with the Chamber of Commerce's Giant Ribbon Cutting ScissorsOn Monday, July 23, 2018, at 5 p.m., Get Social with Cat owner, Cat Smith of Sonoma Valley, celebrated the culmination of a year in business with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony presented by the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony took place during a party at the Lake Sonoma Plaza Tasting Room on the Sonoma Plaza.

Get Social with Cat is a service-based business that provides training, management, and coaching for real estate agents with social media and online marketing. These clients are located mainly in the Bay Area, with ambitions to take some of the classes online. Cat Smith’s mission is to help Realtors® understand that marketing online is about building relationships and being human in a world that is offering so many disruptions.

Though her business name was recently established, Smith has been working with agents at the Vanguard Marin offices for over three years. A highlight of this past year was speaking for the Marin Women’s Council of Realtors about getting started with social media.

The celebration was a gathering of local realtors, colleagues, and Chamber members. Bites were provided by another local businesswoman, also celebrating her first year, Samantha Farrington of Sonoma from Scratch. Guests had fun in with props at a “Selfie Station,” and went home with their very own selfie stick and cat ears.

“The scissors are really heavy!” Smith said. “I’m so touched that local realtors and friends came out to celebrate with me. I’m also impressed by how many I talked into to wearing my signature cat ears for the photo!”
